I feel very blessed to have so many beautiful shops selling my work for me and if it wasn't for these great shop owners, artists and crafters would really struggle to make any sort of a living from their creativity.

Zigzags in Dunkeld is run by musician Dave Amos and his artist wife Madeleine Hand. Dave was the first person to show confidence in my work by selling some cards for me. He is very supportive of handmade and stocks a beautiful selection of art and craft items in his shop from all over Scotland and the UK.

Dunkeld is nestled by the River Tay in beautiful Highland Perthshire. It's wonderful to have a shop like Zigzags in this lovely little town. Not only can local people buy gifts that are handmade and often locally handmade, but visitors can really take away something truly unique instead of something mass manufactured.

There are so many talented people turning their hand to all sorts of craft these days from jewellery making, knitting and crochet to stained glass, ceramics and textile art.
Zigzags is a place to see a fantastic array of beautifully made pieces in a warm and friendly environment.
Along with my Handmade Cards and Textile Art pieces, Dave also stocks my Felt Swirl Bracelets, Decorative Hanging peices and Mirrors and will soon have some of my Felt Swirl Neckpieces on display as well.
So if you are in the area make sure you visit this oasis of creativity. You can be sure of a warm welcome and quality Art and Craft at reasonable prices.

Aileen, this place looks so inspiring, when I visit shops like this, my head is going to burst with ideas...
Well done to find outlets for your lovely and original work!
how wonderful for you and will definitely pop in if Im ever up that way :) Judy x
Thanks Monika and Judy. I know Dave would love your felt creations Monika and anything you make Judy, especially little framed pieces : )
Thank you, Aileen, I might try to contact him someday. Than you for the link!
It must be such an inspiration visiting this place. We have an art and crafts shop about 50 kilometers away that sells artwork from the local artists but nothing like this nearby unfortunately.
This place looks great! Looks like I'll have to take a trip to Dunkeld sometime very soon :-)
Aileen, Dunkeld is a great place - mum and dad had the newsagents there for 20 years just along from Zig Zags. It's a brilliant wee shop and has a great reputation. Dave will see you proud! Check out Madeleines art work too - her 'Picnic Spot' would transfer well to your style of textiles. L xx
Hi Aileen, just reading through your blog. It's just fabulous, and I have to say I envy you your photographic skills! Your work is gorgeous-I didn't realise you did so many different (and wonderful things). Are you coming back to Rostrevor for the Festival this year?
Lovely looking shop packed full of interesting, inspiring art and craft. Infact from the photos the outside looks as good as the inside, certainally a shop I'd want to go inside if I had chance to visit the town.
